Edgar's Mission's is one of those lights that gives me hope for the present and future peace and harmony for all life. Their unlimited kindness and humanity for non-human beings is inspiring and makes me so proud to be a vegan. Our tour guide Emma, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about all things Edgar's Mission and animal welfare and treatment. Our walk through was perfect, I wish I could have stayed all day. The day was very interactive and animals were super friendly, it was a great way to reconnect with nature and the truly important aspects of life. The sanctuary is very clean and orderly, which shows the immense effort and love that goes into ensuring these beautiful creatures can live in absolute safety and tranquility. Looking forward to returning to Edgar's Mission, hopefully as part of the team!
What an incredible place! We took part in the premium tour and it was wonderful. Many of the animals interacted with us and they were so beautiful. It was such a joyous day and we will definitely be back.
This is one of my favourite places and I’ve loved every visit. This was my first stay in one of their Tiny Houses (we were in Edgar’s Cottage) and can genuinely say it was one of the most peaceful and soul filling weekends I’ve had in a while. The stay included a 90min tour (our tour guide was Lauren and she was fantastic), the ability to wander the farm and interact with the beautiful rescued animals was heaven. Each with their own story, worthy of telling.
The houses are exactly as the name reflects and it totally works. Friends stayed next door (Timmy’s Villa) which was equally adorable.
The interiors are beautifully thought out and little touches with the decors (themed to suit their namesakes) topped it off.
It was awesome to be able to spend the weekend on this incredible place. Running in to Pam and Ruby was the perfect way to finish off a brilliant weekend. Thankyou!
If you aren’t able to stay, make sure you at least get up there for one of their tours!
My partner and I were lucky enough to be able to stay in the tiny homes over New Year's Eve, as both of us are avid lovers and supporters of Edgar's Mission it was a dream come true for us both.
The tiny home itself was a perfect relaxing little capsule which contained all of the comforts of modern living, it was top notch from the amenities to the views we had outside.
The biggest highlight was of course the free time we were able to spend wandering the sanctuary, we were out and about every day sometimes multiple times for multiple hours just taking in the sanctuary and all its denizens. From the staff to the animals themselves the entire property just radiates with love and care for all creatures great and small.
If I could rate Edgar's Mission higher than 5 stars I would, for they are one of my favourite places on earth.
We cannot wait to be back!
Amazing place to stay! Highly recommend doing both the basic and the VIP tour if u can!
Pam and her team continue to make a beautiful place for the animals. Absolute dream come true and honour to stay with them!
Rented a Tiny Home at this place and learned about Edgar’s Mission. Had no idea this place existed until then! Went on their Saturday 90-min tour and learned a lot about the rescued farm animals. Tour guide was passionate at teaching us about how animals were treated in Australia. It was a great experience meeting all of the animals as well! Fed the cows and petted some goats and pigs! Very cute.
Absolutely loved the experience and the tour led by the lovely Jane. Highly recommend for you to visit if you're planning to go down to the Lancefield area. Book in advance though as spots get filled up very quickly! Be mindful of how you interact with all the animals - some are very friendly while others prefer to stay at a distance. Great education for all ages especially for kids! Happy 2 years to Barrack🎉
Lucky animals that have been saved and rehabilitated from adverse situations & injuries .Plenty to see & learn throughout the spacious property that is managed by Pam & the crew.
I’ve been here a couple of times and found the tour very enjoyable. Highly recommended and I miss Ruby the WonderDog 😍.
